Meet Charlotte, NC Rapper Mandi Glokk Known For Her Lyricalism and Hot Freestyles. 

Mandi is her nickname and Mandi Glokk is her stage name she merged with her mother’s name Tami. Growing up in North Carolina and attending West Charlotte High School has shaped her perspective on down south Hip-Hop. Well-respected figure in her city; Glokk states no female rapper born and raised made it out as a music artist in Charlotte which motivated her to push her music career at the early age of 17. 

Shortly, Glokk came to make her first song which had a catchy hook such as “I’m the same age of my glokk”. This catchphrase caught wind in her town and pushed her to be in the forefront of her city. Grew up on the westside of Charlotte North Carolina; in which Mandi Glokk was categorized as the rough part of Charlotte, North Carolina. She states her small town not only has limited access but looks to Da Baby’s movement as inspiration. Her support grew in her small town and caught wind of her passion for rap and following this her social media skyrocketed. Her lyrical ability has landed her features with Fetty Wap gaining an industry brother while creating hits in their studio in New Jersey. 

Her most recent release “Made it out” is a narrative of her life in which she pushes puts her heart on her sleeve in a melodic way. Mandi touched on topics involving her relationship with her mother and how she was raised. Mandi Glokk states ” I was talking about my past and like where I came from, how I made it out, like, cause you know, I ain’t made it yet, but I made it out”. Having various upheavals within the industry and learning as much about earning in the music business has catapulted her to re-brand her image and music for 2022.
